DeLagoon Park Construction Updates
April 14, 2025- Throughout the winter months crews were able to work on some miscellaneous tasks as weather permitted and the shower building is now set in place. Construction activities will begin ramping up as spring arrives. Over the next few weeks, crews will be working on the campsites, finish installing utilities followed by paving and final seeding throughout the campground.
Although crews will be working around sports complexes, all fields and parking lots will remain open during all events. Please be patient with crews during these times as they do their best to finish work and maintain the parking areas.
August 9, 2024 - Comstock Construction was awarded the campground improvement project on May 6. The campground will have 42 RV sites (10 with sewer, water, electric and 32 with water and electric). There will be 8 tent sites, a shower/bath house and RV dump station. The asphalt paving and final turf installation won't happen until 2025. It is anticipated the campground will be ready to use in July 2025.

DeLagoon Park
A popular regional destination for camping, disc golf, baseball, softball, soccer, and BMX racing, DeLagoon Park has not undergone a significant improvement project in many years. A 2015 master plan laid out ideal changes that City Council saw fit to revise and fit into a sales tax proposal:
- Campground upgrades, including utility hookups, toilets/ showers, a dump station, and ability for online reservations.
- Restroom and concession facilities for soccer and softball users
- Restroom and lighting upgrades for baseball and softball users
- Park upgrades= $5.2 Mil
- The additional cost to operate the DeLagoon Park campground would be $18,575. This includes general maintenance, water and sewer costs and costs for the reservation system. There will also be new electric costs. All operations will be offset by revenue from campground reservations. The operating costs would be added to the City’s annual budget and included in the property tax levy.
