The City of Fergus Falls and the Fergus Falls Port Authority are looking for a development partner to plan, develop, and construct a new redevelopment project at 301 South Buse Street in Fergus Falls, MN. The property is located along the Otter Tail River and is available for mixed residential development. Other non-residential commercial and service uses, alongside residential use, would also be appropriate. The development site will be adjacent to a regional trail and public access to the river and is a short ½ mile distance to historic downtown Fergus Falls, providing a fantastic opportunity for multi-family housing.

The property (parcel ID 71003500004004) was the site of a dairy processing plant, which closed in 2002. The City has undertaken cleanup on the parcel, which is now ready for development. The entire site is 29.5 acres, which may be developed in phases.

Please review the Request for Proposals to learn more about the redevelopment project and view submission requirements. The RFP lists a due date of March 3, 2023, but the development opportunity is ongoing and submissions will be accepted until a development partner is selected by the Port Authority.
