Fergus Falls Public Art Commission Mission Statement

Adopted 2019

We serve to support the Arts in the Fergus Falls community through education and communication. With our expertise, knowledge and commitment we preserve, protect and promote community art by connecting artists and the community with opportunities and resources.

Vision Statement

Our vision is that we can add a piece of public art no less than every 5 years.

We envision that we will educate the City about art.

We aspire to continue to be recognized nationally as a city that develops and supports arts and artists.

We will work toward developing a dedicated revenue stream.

We look to solve the following problems for the greater good:

• We will help to foster more culture within our community.
• We will help cultivate understanding and education that arts have intrinsic and extrinsic value.
• We envision that the arts will become a catalyst for Fergus Falls becoming a destination place.
