We will discuss "The Day the World Came to Town: 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland" by Jim Defede. The story of how the small community of Gander, Newfoundland, came to the rescue when 38 jetliners, carrying more than 6,000 passengers, were forced to land there when United States airspace was closed during that fateful day of September 11, 2001.
